Our team on the teeth whitening options available
Some of the ones at the drugstore are just a smaller concentration and some of them do fine, depending on what level the patient wants to whiten. I provide two main different types. One is the KoR bleaching, which is a phenomenal … If we have a tooth that’s a little older, and I say 30 years old or older, a lot of stain gets deep in the tooth and the KoR whitening will actually go in and penetrate and remove some of those deeper stains.
If it’s a younger patient, sometimes we can get by with one that doesn’t penetrate as much and some of the Zoom works well with that. We also have a laser whitening for a person that doesn’t want to do things at home and the laser whitening is fairly quick and a number of different applications and we use the laser to actually whiten the teeth.
I think they’re all great. My wife and I personally use the KoR treatment and it’s something that once you whiten to a certain level, we tell patients they can eat and drink anything they want. So if they’re coffee drinkers, tea drinkers, red wine, whatever they want, they can drink and then once a month, just ’cause that’s gonna start staining it again, once a month they’ll touch up for a night and it just keeps their smile white and bright the way they want.
